Sorry for not posting yesterday! Had some issues with time, same goes for checking your blogs!
Yet another comic book adaptation!
plot:
"Four tales of crime adapted from Frank Miller's popular comics, focusing around a muscular brute who's looking for the person responsible for the death of his beloved Goldie, a man fed up with Sin City's corrupt law enforcement who takes the law into his own hands after a horrible mistake, a cop who risks his life to protect a girl from a deformed pedophile, and a hitman looking to make a little cash."
As you can see I tend to watch all these adaptations :) The movie is directed by Robert Rodriguez (Spy Kids, Desperado, Machete). It also sports quite a casting crew, Jessica Alba, Devon Aoki, Bruce Willis, Benicio Del Toro and more. People have quite a shared opinion on this Frank Miller's comic book adaptation.
I'd say I'm more on the side that I agree that Rodriguez has done a good job with it. The visuals are just wonderful. The mix of black and white with certain elements of color just add another depth to the movie. It is also Very violent, some like it, some not. However, I think it was needed to transfer the original story to motion picture. I also love the trashy element of the movie! There are a few flaws with the plot and acting, which I think Rodriguez could have done better.
All in all a solid 8/10. Definitely worth watching!
Here's the trailer:
P.S. If you've got any comic book adaptation you could suggest me, please say!
edit: Oh and watching the grammys now, will give some thoughts about it tomorrow!

Priest & I Am Number Four // Trailer update
Firstly I want to say thanks for all the support you people are giving, I really appreciate it :)
Today I got two trailers for you:
First one is the new graphic novel adaptation called Priest. The plot seems interesting. I haven't read the original novel but I have high expectations of this. I like the dark tone of it :)
Plot:
"PRIEST, a western-fused post-apocalyptic thriller, is set in an alternate world -- one ravaged by centuries of war between man and vampires. The story revolves around a legendary Warrior Priest (Paul Bettany) from the last Vampire War who now lives in obscurity among the other downtrodden human inhabitants in walled-in dystopian cities ruled by the Church. When his niece (Lily Collins) is abducted by a murderous pack of vampires, Priest breaks his sacred vows to venture out on an obsessive quest to find her before they turn her into one of them. He is joined on his crusade by his niece's boyfriend (Cam Gigandet), a trigger-fingered young wasteland sheriff, and a former Warrior Priestess (Maggie Q) who possesses otherworldly fighting skills. --© Sony"

Second trailer for today is "I am Number Four" which is an adaptation of a book. Although it looks all flashy and nice I have a feeling this movie will fail. However, I will watch it for sure as I love those type of movies. The plot seems okay and I'm interested to see how it is executed. Enjoy!
Plot:
"Three are dead. He is Number Four. D.J. Caruso ("Eagle Eye," "Disturbia") helms an action-packed thriller about an extraordinary young man, John Smith (Alex Pettyfer), who is a fugitive on the run from ruthless enemies sent to destroy him. Changing his identity, moving from town to town with his guardian Henri (Timothy Olyphant), John is always the new kid with no ties to his past. In the small Ohio town he now calls home, John encounters unexpected, life-changing events-his first love (Dianna Agron), powerful new abilities and a connection to the others who share his incredible destiny. John (Alex Pettyfer) is an extraordinary young man, masking his true identity and passing as a typical student to elude a deadly enemy seeking to destroy him. Three like him have already been killed...he is Number Four. -- (C)Dreamworks"
