Watched Wall Street Money Never Sleeps, and as Michael Douglas stars in it I got reminded of this awesome movie
plot:
"William (aka D-FENS), an unemployed, divorced engineer in the defense industry, just wants to get home to see his daughter on her birthday. Unfortunately, nothingseems to be going right for him. Stuck in traffic, he finally snaps. He gets out ofhis car and begins a walk through L.A. D-FENS begins to fight back against the everyday "injustices" he encounters on his journey home. When a unhelpful Koreanshopkeeper "doesn't give change" he demolishing the store with a baseball bat. Soonhe finds himself in gangland, and deals with some tough-looking gang members byattacking them. When the gang members try to retaliate, it fails when they crashtheir car and D-FENS takes their guns. A retiring cop (Robert Duvall) is on histrail as D-FENS heads towards Venice for his daughter's birthday."
This 1993 movie is one of my favorites. It is a story about a man going on rampage basically because all of the flaws he sees in the society. Lead role is played by Michael Douglas, he is exceptional. No doubt it is also Joel Schumacher's best film. The movie itself is at times funny yet at others quite sad. Definitely worth a watch!
I give it 8/10! Very good!
Heres the trailer:
Don't most of you wish you could just give up on everything and try to get your order? :)
P.S. Is there any follower addon/program or something that you suggest me for use(to assist me and make it a bit clearer)? The classic feed is getting a bit out of control :S
This movie looks pure win. I always wanted to see a movie about a dude getting pushed to far.

ReplyDeleteI love Michael Douglas movies, first Wall Street was great and MNS is in my queue to watch, loads of free time in a few weeks! Hey man if you could would you mind commenting on my blog the answers to these 2 questions:
ReplyDelete1.) Is Netflix instant or streaming worth it?
2.) FUARRKK congrats on 200 followers! How did you get so many? I got like 74, trying to get into the blogging thing but nobody seems to be reading/following. Got plenty of time coming up so I'd like to improve my blog traffic.

ReplyDeleteYeah im intending to, however, waiting for it to come to my cinema :/
ReplyDeleteGreat movie, it used to be on HBO all the time back in the mid 90's
ReplyDeleteI liked that movie. My favorite parts were when he got the traffic workers to admit that they work on the roads when nothing is wrong just to spend their budget... AND the part where he says "Wait a minute...I'M the bad guy??"

His best role. Probably because if it wasn't for his pappy, he'd be a cubicle guy. he's never been a good actor.
ReplyDeleteI will need to check this movie out.
ReplyDeleteI like to use google reader to follow everyone, when you add someone it automatically adds the feed to google reader. Great way to follow and see exactly when people update.

ReplyDeletei never heard of this one
ReplyDeletegotta watch it
Quite an interesting movie. I guess in US it maynt be a hit since Law & order is comparatively better than other countries, whereas in other countries especially Asian counries you can do anything and get away with it and innocent soul can be locked up and beaten to death. it is so much screwed up,so this kind of stories where some avatar - hero takes up role and fights for justice and justifies self-made judge/god..This movie was remade in tamil-Indian language . Check the below list
ReplyDeleteMe and my thinking cap- Movies copied to Indian language
Rocky who? Rambo who?

ReplyDeleteWish I could answer your question but... =\
ReplyDeleteThis was an amazing movie, and definitely not a movie that you could put out now with people being so politically correct about guys who get pushed over the edge and go on a shooting spree. Michael Douglas was pure win in that role.

ReplyDeletefor managing the blogs you follow "morning coffee" can be a helpful addon for firefox. I also like "numext" to add numbers and colours to open tabs.
Or what i currently do is place bookmarks for each blog that I follow into a folder in the bookmark bar. i make a new folder for each group of 50 blogs to break it down into a manageable amount. Then you can right click on the folder like "blogs1" and go to open "all in tabs". later in the day do blogs2, etc.
I'm so glad Michael is doing better these days with his cancer. Love his wife!
ReplyDeletesuch an epic movie!
ReplyDeleteProbably his best role ever! Loved this flick!
